[nether portal]

I have just recently found your art, but I must say that your work has really connected with me. I used to play a lot of Minecraft growing up and it's so surreal to see how well you capture the feelings I felt while playing it.

It's not just about the Nether portal or the blocky terrain. It's not about ~drawing Minecraft~, it's about drawing memories. I look at this and I remember being completely immersed in this new and unexplored world, completely alone, only listening to my own steps and the gargling of the recently built portal down below. I remember thinking about how the portal was mysterious, and how it was now part of this little place of my own world.

It's a cozy feeling. It's nice to look at an art piece and feel understood. And you do it all the time especially with your environment studies. It's amazing how all of them feel so nostalgic, lonely, and serene while being gorgeous. To me, they feel like they were drawn with the intention of being seen while listening to a Minecraft soundtrack.

But besides all of that, your style is also pretty strong. I like the perspective in this piece, and how you combined the usual geometric properties of Minecraft with more organic & cartoony shapes. Like the trees, the WACKY angles in the dirt, and the grass slowly taking over the stones.

I really enjoy the work that you've been putting out and I'm really excited to see what comes next =)

To be honest I was probably listening to the Minecraft soundtrack most of the time while I painted those other studies :)

This is absolutely incredible!
The clothing, cute character designs and ambience result in a somewhat familiar and comforting environment that I want to immerse myself into, and the eerie atmosphere, formed by the combination of weird creatures and unnusual elements scattered across the piece, form a really appealing aesthetic and make me curious to learn more about this world.
Is this part of a bigger project? I'm definetly interested in learning more about it!
